PAT Testing 2377-12
Portable Appliance Testing is offered to candidates with and without prior experience, to increase their knowledge in this field and undertake inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
All electrical equipment used in the commercial workplace is required to be PAT tested. This course covers everything necessary to achieve this City & Guild certification and covers topics;

- Electrical Safety
- Regulations role and responsibilities
- Insulation and earthing
- Classification of appliances
- Preliminary inspection, test precautions
- Using a Portable Appliance Tester
- Essential tests
- Optional tests
- Labelling tests
- Reporting and recording results
- Implementing a test programme
- Practical Assessment
As professional welding is usually carried out on construction sites, the CSCS cards are mandatory.
Course timetable – 2 days in Health & Safety training to CITB (ConstructionSkills Industry Training Board) standards. week-end & evening courses also available.
